cloning of Sour diesel marijuana plant

I’ve tried many different type of cloning for sour diesel and nothing has worked.
Tried clones with root riot pods, pods w/water, just water – they live for a couple days and then wilt and die. Any suggestions? This is the first strain I’ve ever had an issue with.
